Dear Site,

    As much as I like the DDR Fanbase and Rhythm Base games, I wish the community would be more open to the public, and to be honest, I also wished that more people in the community would release alot more older content because a lot of the content has been crap. For the past 6 years and to be honest I'm not happy about it.  I'm not happy that I cannot get the content I like for Stepmania.  and wished to get more content like it because of the fact that the content isn't well kept up.  The problem I have is this.  I would like to make a place for older content but I wish we, not as ZIvivers, but as StepmaniaX (people in the stepmania community who make content), really got into making good content for both 3.9 and also SM5 so that way there is more variety for everyone.  I means I really like all the Randomvideos form EVERY DDR Game modifies for stepmania.  And also I like to do more stuff with BG videos in the Stepfiles because jsut making a step-file is just boring.

Also Make sure EVER STEP-FILE HAS A MUSIC FILE.  I've been seeing a lot of laziness and changes that are boring, and also things have been kind of falling off and kind of stale.  I mean the content on zenius-i-vanisher is really starting to get stale.  and it's kind of boring because of it.

How to make Banners and Backgrounds the Oldie way for Stepmania

This is not the best way if you want to eb professional but it gets the job done.

Banners

The banner minimum has to be (L)256x(W)80 the maximun is this 5(256x80) and that is an approximate.

The image shows you what you need ot make a banner:

 

For the backgrounds hopefully this will fit the minimum should be 640x480 and this is for stepmania 3.9 SM5 can use a little wider and bigger and HD type of images are allowed.

Music files: mp3; wav; ogg

I use the internet for this one I go on Youtube of a site that has music and I use Audacity or NCH Software to edit and cut the music down to a DDR Length or just download previews of songs before they come out. 

If the song is above 2 minutes long then I cut it to 2 minutes to step for stepmania. Similar to IIDX GAMES because it's more difficult then the DDR that is out there.

DWI File (Dance With Intensity Metafile)/SM (Stepmania Metafile) 

I use for WINXP Stependous because it reads files better, and I use XStep (for the Win 7,8,Vista) to make sure the sync is universally sound to my files and it is synced properly with the song.  And out the sing info for StepMania before starting up Stepmania Program.

Then you step them on stepmania and you're done with the stepfile.

Intro to The Random Step-Mix

This is the step-mix that is dedicated to Step-Mania and ITG (In The Groove) and others.  IT's a combination of Pad filing of DDR (DanceDanceRevolution) and ITG combination of stepping a file called step-files.  These files are creative from me but I will also get files from other places also.  The reason for this is to make my own steps with mp3s already out there, and I'm also going to find ways to make this fun for everyone.  But here's the thing, I'm going to dedicate it to a lot of people and I need help from you out there to help me to build stuff and support this project also ok.

Stepmania Stepfiling Crediting Personal Rules and Guidlines

This blog is the ONLY blog I will be writing my method of crediting for step-files and also the fact that this is something that I love to do and I'm to the point where ZIV.com 'asking permission for something' for FREE is BULLSHIT.  Yes I said it, the reason why is because the game is free that means EVERYTHING THAT PERTAINS TO IT IS FREE.  Because I KNOW and believe in this from now on I WILL ONLY CREDIT WITH A THANK YOU TO THE 'USERNAME' OR STEPFILE PACK NAME.  This is an example how I credit:

 From now on this is THE ONLY WAY I WILL CREDITING ANY STEP-FILE.  If I take a banner and background I'll credit it with or without permission.  I'm tired of explaining this so I'm going to be updating this and anyone that has a problem with this too bad so sad, the community is kind of dying on me and I'm running out of creative avenues now so I'm doing things MY WAY.

The Crediting Steps thingy: (A2K)

These are my crediting because I'm dedicating this to DDR MAX and DDR EXTREME, and also I'm dedicating this to the old-skool way I love to make my step-files for a contest.  Since I probably might never go to the contest. These things I type so people will remember I created this, and if not I will put (A2K).  All I ask is you can use it as your own as long as you thank me for them, and if you make a challenge mode just credit that by you.  I'm very nice about it.  If you want me to credit it cool.  I make stepfiles for the game more than just the community.  But there are things I believe in that to be honest if you are going to criticize me about it then post a reply here in a form of a question.  I rather if you get you frustration out them throw it in my face

Also about asking for permission you better be able to answer within 2-3 days of me post for the permission for the song or it will be AUTOMATICALLY IN THE MIX.  NO EXCEPTIONS,  If I have to log on to the site just to post a reply to you, your file will be taken without permission also, so make sure you are available all year around because I'm not going to stop and wait for you to get permission, NOT IN MY VOCABULARY. DO NOT ASK TO DELETE A SONG OFF MY MIX because I did or did not ask for permission because it wont happen again.

If it's an official banner from DanceDanceRevolution or an alternative banner it will be included in my crediting journal in full..
